Bruster's "Real Life" Radio Spot Wins Best Music at A.I.R. Awards

Bridgewater, PA December, 2004

The 2004 Bruster's "Real Life" Radio Campaign won best original music in a radio spot at Pittsburgh's ninth annual Achievement in Radio (A.I.R.) awards on Wednesday, December 1.

James Carter, of Wrecking Crew Music, composed the acoustical soundtrack for the Bruster's "Real Life" campaign. "After watching the footage for the Real Life commercial, I had an idea for a sentimental sounding melody using a clarinet and guitar," said Carter. "I think these instruments really captured the essence of the Bruster's Real Life spot."

The "Real Life" concept was developed by Bruster's advertising agency CO2. The musical ensemble was performed by two Pittsburgh natives, Kathleen Costello on the clarinet and Dale Cinski on the guitar. This is the second time Carter has won an A.I.R award and his third nomination. The A.I.R award luncheon is an annual event hosted by the March of Dimes. The funds raised through the A.I.R. Awards help support the March of Dimes research, community service, advocacy and educational programs.

Headquartered in Bridgewater, PA, Bruster's expects to have over 265 neighborhood stores open from New Hampshire to Florida by the end of 2005. Bruster's is ranked by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the nation's leading franchise companies.
