With headquarters northwest of Pittsburgh in Bridgewater, PA, Bruster's Real Ice Cream is a chain of mostly freestanding, walk-up, premium ice cream shops located in the eastern part of the United States.
Bruster's real ice cream is made fresh on-site at each Bruster's location.
Bruster's stores offer a variety of ice cream, frozen yogurt, smoothies, sundaes and splits, shakes, blasts, ice cream cakes and pies and other specialty items. Each Bruster's Store also offers several flavors of no-sugar-added-fat-free ice cream.
Bruster's locations typically offer a selection of up to 38 ice cream flavors every day from the more than 140 flavors in the Bruster's recipe book. Popular flavors include Butter Pecan, White Turtle, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Peanut Butter Puddles, Mint Chocolate Chip, Key Lime Pie and Cotton Candy Explosion. Seasonal flavors include Pumpkin, Peach and Black Raspberry.
Founder Bruce Reed started the Bruster's Real Ice Cream chain in 1989 with a single location in the small town of Bridgewater, PA. Today, the Bruster's chain consists of more than 235 company-owned and franchised stores located in New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi.
